Makinsky Thermal Insulation Plant LLP (MTIP) is the largest enterprise in Kazakhstan for production of thermal insulation materials based on basalt rocks with a capacity of 34 000 tons per year.

The plant produces a thermal-insulating material in demand on the market - mineral wool, which replaced glass wool and extremely flammable foam-based materials in construction. Mineral wool plates of MTIP are made on the basis of lava rock of basalt rocks and are able to withstand temperatures up to 1000 ° C.

The plant was put into operation in 2019. In the same year, QIC provided support to the Ministry of Health for modernization of equipment.  

Since 2019, the company's production capacity has increased from 5 000 to 21 000 tons of products per year, the quality of which is in no way inferior to imported samples. Mineral wool is exported to such countries as Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia.
